-this morning while walking the dog at 7am-
this girl walks up from behind me and says, "may i ask you a question?"
i said "sure"
she says, "do you like girls?"
i look at her, a bit puzzled,
and said " no..... i'm sorry............ I have never been asked that before."
she replied, "i have never asked that question before but i figured i would try."
then she walked off....
this girl looked like Mila Kunis from That 70s Show and seriously could not be over the age of 18.
very pretty girl- i was actually kindof flattered lol
-the birthday was actually pretty okay this year. (on monday)
i have sworn off parties because they involve expectations...
instead i had a dinner that had enough people show up to be called a party.
i got so many presents which is crazy because i was totally not expecting that!
-this weekend was horrible.
as soon as i got to blanco state park- i wanted to leave.
i was so depressed all weekend. i told my mom i could not ever go back again.
the blanco tradition died with brandon.
the new generation can have it- but id rather not try to relive my childhood and memories of brandon by going up there every year.
-ok so you know how i dont like video games?
well now that we have lego star wars for the wii..... thats changed a bit.
LEGO STAR WARS AKJAH:OISBAPIDHA!
- i need serious help with writing an artist statement..
i am also seriously contemplating photocopying my own work then reproducing the images with graphite pencil.
the medium of photography seems to have a stigma.
i dont want my work to be judged by its medium, but by the content or aesthetic qualities they may or may not possess.
there are so many people who are "photographers" and i hate calling myself one because
a) i am not professionally or academically trained and
b) it implies that i take myself and my work seriously enough to call myself a photographer and
c) there are LOTS of "photographers" that think/act like they are way awesome- but in reality they are way not awesome.
its like there are plenty of photographers who are soooo into artsy photography- i really dont want to be lumped into that same category of lame pretentious artwork.
(or perhaps people think that about my stuff too... regardless... if it were drawn and not photographed- the same things would not be necessarily thought?)
sigh
