i really hate van halen.

i havent been tagged but im doing this anyway:

A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it".

1. i like to cross my toes.

2. ever since i was an infant i have been rubbing my thumb and forefinger together over fabric. i do it without even realizing it- i would do this even while on the basketball court during games (to my jersey). my mom hates that i do this for some reason.

3. my real dream job would to teach art history to kids (p/t?)- and own an art gallery with an emphasis on art theory and local artists/ crafty persons.

4. im starting to think i am not a liberal anymore. which is a scary thought to me..... really scary. (i still oppose the iraq war though!)

5. im addicted to magazines. i am in love with every aspect of the monthly periodical- and i tend to cut them up without abandon.(and keep the parts i like). i went back to issues this week and the smell of magazines hit me and its like smelling a new book or something. intoxicating. crisp. and shiny paper.

6. i refuse to sleep with a comforter that is not made out of jersey knit cotton fabric (tshirt fabric). i slept with a twin sized spongebob comforter for almost 2 years because it was jersey knit. now i finally found one thats queen sized and doesnt have spongebob on it- but i hate sharing the covers :(

7. when i was a kid i used to draw toasters all of the time. thats where "super toast" came from- my compulsive toaster drawing background.

im tagging: michelle, robb, michaela, john, marty, marina

to be honest that was really hard cause i couldnt think of stuff.
i even asked michelle and cuban weird things about me and this is what they came up with:
-the only person who can pull of turquoise liquid eyeliner
-i basically only wear shirts ive altered in some way
-i sound like a parrot sometimes with the random sounds i make.
-i like L's
-and something about my gaudy hoop earrings

--------

-i keep seeing books that have secret stash spots carved out of the insides-
and i have this uncontrollable urge to make my own out of an old book.

-i have signed up for so many free magazine subscription offers that it seems like i get a new magazine at least every week.
currently these are my subs: the week (paid), vice magazine (paid), missbehave (paid), elledecor, nylon, vibe, art in america, art journal, teen vogue, and a few others on the way.

-i keep watching the presidential debates on msnbc. i freaking hate rudy giuliani with a passion.
but i actually dont hate ron paul. everyone says he's racist but i dont see it. maybe these people know something i dont but i dont think he's evil. just kindof crazy. right now the person i hate the least?: barack obama.
i think the only person who actually says what they think and not what they think they HAVE to say in order to get elected- is ron paul. but like i said, i think he's nuts. but i do see redeeming qualities in relegating powers to the state-level and less federal regulation.
bastian always says that the usa has states that are more like their own countries. im so confused politically. :(

-im also confused about this michelle stuff because i want everything to go back to normal but i resent what she did to me. so much so, that i feel so bitter and cold towards her- but im really trying to thaw out my demeanor- but its taking a long time. i want it to be easy and just back to normal but i cant just forget the ridiculousness that occurred. i was betrayed and lied to by my best friend and its really hard to just accept then move on like nothing happened. i know pretty surely that i wont be opening myself up as much as i did in the past. less investment emotionally and mentally and loyally. thats the price paid in the end. and yet for some reason its like im mourning the death of trust in my favorite friendship.

-bastian and i have been talking about eventually buying a house- which definitely would push back any germany plans. we're moving out of the shoebox in may- and hopefully i can find a 2+ bedroom first floor duplex with a yard so i can put up a hammock and put that ball and chain thing on my cat so we hang out together outside. lolz.

-the wurst gallery had this exhibit in which an artist was asked to take a thrift store piece of framed art and manipulate it into their own piece of art work. the results are interesting and kindof odd

another work from the wurst gallery also:

i want to see no country for old men this weekend.
the templars play tomorrow night
i want to go to the MFAH this weekend and wander around by myself.
go away rain!
