while eating at the glorious souper salad location by our apartment-
bastian says "oh and by the way, we're going to germany in october."
uh....
at first i thought uh yeah right-
but now it seems it may actually happen
our plan?
4 days in oberhausen, germany-
rent a car and drive to southeast germany to visit relatives-
then drive across the border into the czech republic so my head can explode with happiness.
then on to vienna, austria.
then drive through switzerland....
then into italy- (tuscany, giant knit rabbit in the mountains, etc.)
then to the vatican.
/trip.
at first, the idea of renting a car and driving that much through europe (after 11 hours on a plane!)
doesnt sit well.... but he maintains "it's the journey, not the destination"
...well at least we pick where we go.
WOOHOO! EUROPE!!!
(i cant promise that i wont stay there forever... sigh)
this weekend my sister came to town with my nieces-
so it was adult time which consisted of all resale/consignment shopping.
what did i find? a consignment shop that had this:

a pink leather chanel handbag for 80 bucks.
as soon as i saw it- i practically inspected the thing down to its seams to determine its authenticity.
the lining is SPLENDID (gold chanel lining)- it has a main zippered compartment and two side compartments with magnetic closures.
omg.
they had two other chanel bags- one was the classic quilted black leather with the white double cs
but it looked SO much like the fakes ones i always see- plus the fact that it practically yells CHANEL turned me off.
its almost alarming how completely ecstatic i became after purchasing it.
i am not a big "designer" person- it is not my life goal to acquire big name items and flaunt them-
but it is definitely a nice feeling to buy a nice quality handbag for once.
