sxsw sleepy weekend

sxsw weekend was... interesting...
i had not spent an entire weekend with crystal in 3 years so it was like old times.
we immediately went to club 1808 to see annihilation time and municipal waste-
of course the pedestrian bridge show started at 3am afterwards and being the grandmas that we are...
we opted out and went to sleep while everyone else stayed out until 5am...
being the nice guy that he is, david even let crystal and i take his bed while he slept on an air mattress.

his dogs are crazy! but awesome!
i am not used to dogs that are lumbering along then are so big and unwieldy that when they run... they rarely can control
their bodies and end up falling over or running into things/each other.
quite entertaining.... until crystal lets them out the front door....
and we have to run after them frantically to get them back inside.

on saturday we ate lunch at TRUDY's which i swear to anyone-
has the best breakfast i could imagine. their pancakes are UNREAL. so good.
plus it was cheap and vegetarian friendly- i am definitely adding it to my austin restaurant list of must visits.

we went to waterloo park- and the heat was just too much for me.
my feet were on fire- who knew patent leather shoes in direct glaring sunlight makes your feet feel like they are burning?!
of course crystal and i wussed out and slept the afternoon away at home-
we made it out to veggie heaven for my old favorite the protein 2k...
then on to beerland to see annihilation time, iron lung, and brutal knights.
all weekend i was trying to possibly hangout with davekinssnobs but we just played phone tag or i was passing out.
bumout 2k8...
sunday- i ordered curra's bean tamales to-go and then ate at saigon kitchen on the way out of town then my head exploded from happiness.

this is david sleeping with his dog.... completely covered in a sheet:

p.s. i picked up buffy from the vet yesterday and the bill was $392.00. WTF!!?
those bastards charged me for all of this crap that i never agreed to....
hopefully i can get this crap taken care of....
